I presented the interviewee with a list of traits which she would then label as feminine or masculine as seen through the eyes of society. The original question consisted of a rating scale of 1-100 but that proved to be less effective with the time allotted.
The interviewee labeled self-reliance, independence, powerful and things similar as male traits. She responded that feminine traits were more like flattery, jealousy, sensitive, caregiving, etc. In today's progressive age (slowly but surely) these words are becoming more unisex whereas in the past the word "self-reliant" would have been heavily and- more than likely- solely attributed to men.
