This week for our in class interviews we were given a list of words and had to decipher if we felt they were masculine or feminine. I was both pleasantly surprised and disappointed. I was more pleasantly surprised with my interviewees responses. I didn't expect him to be so open minded and me to be so brainwashed by society and so ridged with my ideals. I feel like in this exercise I learned more about myself than who I was interviewing. For most responses we agreed but for others where I thought the obvious answer was one way of another he chose neutral. It did notice how some synonyms of happy had more if a feminine connotation than others. I actually really enjoyed the exercise this week!
