For this weeks participation the story that I selected to conduct an interview for was about a school in Lincoln, Nebraska that is choosing to change its classroom policy to be gender inclusive. This would mean that students would not be divided up as boys or girls ever and instead may be divided up by who likes different things. The individual that I interviewed felt that this was unnecessary, especially at the lower age levels. The interviewee felt that by addressing the class by saying 'boys and girls' or having them line up or group up by boys and girls there was really no problem. My interviewee felt that while it was cool to have a class name to not use the terms boys and girls was not necessary.
