Kayla Forte- Interview

For my interview this week I spoke with a Caucasian female who is a student at Fresno State. I read an article about New York law and how they are trying to change what is needed when someone would like to identify with the opposite gender as they were born in to. My interviewee stated that she believes that you should not need to get surgery or undergo any operations to identify with the opposite gender. She believes that everyone has a right to express themselves the way they choose and they should not need to prove themselves to anyone. She thinks it will be a hard thing to adapt to, just as it was with the gay and lesbian community, but she thinks it will be a positive change for the future. She believes it will promote equality and acceptance among society.
