Now-a-days things are different, for example men can marry men and women can marry women. Most people today accept the fact that love is love no matter the gender. Back in the days things like same sex marriage or just same sex relationships, transsexual, or transgender, gay, or lesbian, was not acceptable in society. Now, all these things are becoming socially accepted mostly because the generations of today are more educated and open minded about things like these. The days of judging and discriminating others because of who they are gender wise, are over. The things that were"not right" in society back then, are okay now. Being gay or being lesbian is seen more and more in our society today, that people are not shocked. We have learned to accept that men don't have to be men, and women don't have to be women. Like mention in the chapter 5 each gender doesn't have a specific role, they just are who they wanna be, sometimes depending on their culture. What society calls gender roles, are now played by any individual no matter who they are.
