During my interview, when asked how the roles between men and women typically differ in the workplace, my interviewee felt that women most often assume positions that support higher-ranking male roles. Their roles are not the prestigious roles, but rather the ones behind the scenes. Later we discussed if there was anything that could be done to improve economic differences between men and women, my interviewee felt that the harder women push and the better they set themselves up then they would have the best opportunities. Women should be more head strong and willing to push themselves into a field and push themselves to the top. Her parents both worked full time and both contributed to household tasks.
