For my interview this week I chose to interview a friend of mine about an article I found from google. The article was about how there is a mormon woman that was kicked out of her church because she spoke out and is a feminist. She claimed that women should be able to be ordained in the mormon church and spoke out about how that was unfair. Eventually she was denied to become a part of the church again by two different church members, but she plans to appeal all the way to the top. The man I talked to said that he believed that men and women should all be equal in all parts of the church. He said that he feels like men and women should be treated equal in all parts of religion, and that gender does not matter. When I asked him about the connection between men being in higher positions in religion and ben being the heads of the household, he said that there definitely is a connection between the two. This article is exactly what we were talking about in the chapter this week how men and women are not equal in religion and that also shows in houses and the workplace.
