An interview was conducted on Wednesday Nov. 5th in class and the question for the interview was What if anything should be done about the economic inequality between men and women? According to my interviewee, she thinks that there should be something done and that a lot of it has to do with letting people see each other's salaries. By letting people particularly in private companies see the differences in wages, there would be a lot more equality. The reason why is because the men are not going to have higher salaries as much if the females know what men are making. When they go in for interview, they would know what they need to fight for. Also, another thing that should be done is to have child care provided by the business with a longer maternal/paternal leave once a child is born.
