In my interview I spoke about an article that talked about a group called The Light. The religion has been viewed as a cult that has crazy ideals and beliefs. My interviewee responded with saying that if these types of religions weren't doing any harm then it is ok to believe whatever they want to believe. I then mentioned that the group would abuse their children and didn't pay taxes. That they didn't even have a sign outside their location just like any other church in America. My interviewee then went on to say that since they are being unlawful there should be something done about it but what could be done was vague. That if they just stayed true to the law there would be nothing wrong with believing in different ideas of life. I then mentioned that there would be families who were separated and the interviewee thought that it was sad that things come to that with these types of groups/religions but quite frankly there is not much we can do about it. That these groups are going to do whatever they please at the end of the day.
