This weeks question was about the gendered division in the workplace for my interviewee' parents, and the consequences that were produced because of them. My interviewee had an expected answer to my question. His dad had priority in determining where to live because of job, but it was a grinding process. The dad had to work up his way on the ladder and consequence of this was that he could not spend much time with his son. In regards to his mom, she had to take care of the children and housework, but this did not impede her commitment to work. She continued her teaching at a high school successfully. This actually helped out her because her children, my interviewee, went to the same school to where she taught. So part of her job as a mom, checking up on her son's grades, was accomplished in school. A consequence of her completing all these tasks was that it was stressful, but it worked out in the end.
