The interview response starts at seven minutes and five seconds.
On November fifth, 2014, the interviewee chose to answer the question, "How do men and women differ in your workplace?" She has worked in different areas. She has worked in architecture, interior design, and the military. When working for the interior design and architecture, her bosses were males and a lot of them were also gay men. Specifically her direct boss was gay. Some employees were also gay. She understood that one must have a sense of humor there because on the second day of work her boss told her "Your ass looks really good in those pants." She did not took this as an offense because he was married to another man and he had an honest smile on his face. Her boss also reacted and asked whether she was going to sue him as he laugh in a way that was not malicious. She also thinks that if it had been someone else perhaps that other women could have taken that as sexual harassment and actually filed a complaint, and her bossed could have been in trouble. The secretary was female and had been with the company since their launch into the market. So the interview in such domain felt good because there was a balance between males and females. On the other hand, when she had the opportunity to be a trainer for military cadets, it was a different experience because the field is dominated by men. Her physique is small. So she had to project the authority that her position deserved. Otherwise she would have been disrespected like some of her female colleagues were because they were women. Those colleagues were called bitches. She has never known cases were males were treated in the same way. The way in which she achieved her authority was by lowering her voice and keeping her head up and projecting herself as fearless. She has never experience the discrimination of males in the work force due to her sex. But she has being hit on by males but again she shows them that they are there for a different reason and they desist.
